La Arapaima is owned by Jungle Expeditions, out of Iquitos, and chartered by Overseas Adventure Travel. The ship can carry a maximum of 20 passengers in tiny little cabins that are (thankfully) air-conditioned and have private baths.
There are four levels. The top deck is open, with covered and uncovered areas, lots of comfortable decks chairs, and a couple of hammocks for siesta time. The third deck houses cabins, the bridge and the dining room and bar. The second deck is mostly cabins, but also has a rear landing area for the small excursion boat. The bottom (first) deck is home to the kitchen, the engine rooms, and the crew's cabins.
You won't confuse this boat with a cruise ship, but it got the job done!
